Preliminary Round:

For recorded auditions, you must include a minimum of one work of Chopin.If submitting an audition recording, it is recommended that it be 12 - 20 minutes long (no hard length limitations will be applied, but the Screening Jury will choose a maximum of 20 minutes to listen to).

For those participating in "Chopin in Cyprus", winning a prize in the Chopin in Cyprus Concerto Competition entails performing a complete Chopin Concerto with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in the Cyprus Competition finals. Winners gain automatic admission to the 2025 Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition.

For those participating in live auditions, please prepare a 12 - 20 minute program of Chopin works. The Artist Category live auditions must include a virtuosic etude (excluding op. 10, #3,6,9,11 and op. 25, #1,5,7).

* Young Musician II (ages 11 - 15) and Artist (ages 16-33) categories may also opt to learn and perform the optional specially commissioned work for the 2025 Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition, whose performance will form the basis for awarding the $2,000 Audience Choice Award. The score will be sent to competitors once they are admitted to the live competition so they can decide if they wish to learn and perform it. It does NOT count towards the allotted time of the performance so you do not have to shorten your existing program.
Note: All Repertoire performed in the Screening Round must also be performed in the live Competition except for the (possible) non-Chopin audition work allowed for the 6 - 10 age category.
