Taiwanese pianist Yao-Wen Chang is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in piano performance under Prof. Markus Bellheim at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where he also completed his Bachelor’s degree.
Born in Taipei in 2000, Yao-Wen began studying music at age four at Yamaha Music School and received his initial piano instruction from Wen-Shan Kuo. His early education included Guting Elementary School, National Taiwan Normal University Affiliated High School (Junior Division), and Tamkang High School, as well as pre-college studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the National Taipei University of Education. He studied with Prof. Ching-Wen Tu and Prof. Nicolai Saratovsky.
