Elisey Mysin

Elisey Mysin is a Russian pianist and composer recognized internationally for his musical maturity, depth of expression, and radiant stage presence. Born in Stavropol, he began piano studies at the age of three under Ludmila Danilovna Tikhomirova, who instilled in him the artistry and discipline that continue to define his performances today. Elisey currently studies at the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts in Moscow in the class of Professor Daniil Tsvetkov, and since 2023 has also been a scholarship student of the Accademia del Ridotto in Italy, where he works under Professor Natalia Trull.


A laureate of numerous national and international competitions, Elisey has earned first prizes at the 4th Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Piano Musicians (China, 2022), the Robert Schumann Hochschule Competition (Germany, 2023), the Cleveland International Piano Competition and Institute for Young Artists (USA, 2023), and the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition (USA, 2023). Earlier distinctions include the “Astana Piano Passion” Competition (Kazakhstan, 2017), the “Where the Art Is Born” Competition (Krasnodar, 2017), and the Vladimir Krainev International Young Pianists Online Competition (2021). In 2022, he was awarded the Golden Parnassus Grand Prize at the XVIII International Piano Forum “Bieszczady bez granic” in Sanok, Poland.


Elisey has appeared as soloist with major orchestras, including the State Academic Symphony Orchestra “Evgeny Svetlanov,” the National Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Leningrad Oblast, and the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in prestigious venues such as the State Kremlin Palace, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, and the Concert Hall “Zaryadye.” Festival appearances include the A.B. Michelangeli Festival (Trento, Italy), “Stars on Baikal” (Irkutsk), “The Amadeus Weekend” (Austria), “Classical Young Stars” (Austria), and the InClassica International Music Festival (Dubai, UAE). He is a regular participant in projects coordinated by Denis Matsuev.


A recipient of the “New Names” International Charitable Foundation scholarship and a Yamaha scholarship holder, Elisey also composes and improvises, bringing to his original works the same poetic imagination that distinguishes his performances. He has been featured in film and media projects celebrating young artists, including the motion picture “All About My Sister” (2020), directed by Anna Chernakova.


Elisey Mysin combines the natural curiosity of a composer with the refinement of a concert pianist, enchanting audiences around the world with his sincerity, technical brilliance, and deep connection to the music of Frédéric Chopin and the Romantic tradition.
