Andrew started to learn piano at 6. Now 14, his love for classical music continues to grow as he discovers new facets of classical music. He is not only interested in playing classical music but also in learning about the composers’ lives. He is improving his technical skills and learning to express different emotions through piano.
In the Spring of 2022, he has won the 2nd prize at the Frisco Music Teachers Association’s Trophy competition in Frisco, TX. In the Summer of 2022, he participated in the International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival in Fort Collins, CO. and was awarded Honorable Mention for his performance. This was an eye opening experience which ignited Andrew’s motivation to improve and deepened his passion of classical music. In January 2023, Andrew won the 2nd prize at the Dallas Symphonic Festival - Intermediate Concerto Competition.
Andrew enjoys listen to different forms of classical music and learning from various musicians.
Andrew continues to pursue his dream of being a pianist through daily practice and not giving up in the face of obstacles.
