Galileo Skye Chrisman Caro is a bicultural pianist growing up in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. His unique and innate relationship with the instrument won recognition at an early age, and his performances have garnered first-place awards in numerous competitions, including the Glendale Piano Competition (2019), the CAPMT, District IX Honors Competition (2020), the MTAC Scholarship Competition (2021), the LA International Liszt Competition (2022) and the CAPMT, District IX and Statewide Honors Competitions (2023).

Galileo is motivated to share his music beyond classical concert and recital-halls, and one of his proudest memories is of receiving a formal proclama from the mayor of his family's hometown, Rincón, Puerto Rico, thanking him for performing with his piano in the town square at festive, holiday-evening art walks during the 2021/2022 Christmas Season. On multiple evenings, Galileo played Bach's E-minor Toccata, Beethoven's Tempest sonata and the Schumann/Liszt Widmung and led the gathered community in extended rounds of traditional Puerto Rican Villancicos Navideños and Christmas carols. It is a special memory, and Galileo hopes to find more chances like that to share his expanding repertoire -- now including selected favorites from the works of Frédéric Chopin! -- with listeners in different contexts and from different walks of life.

Currently a sophomore music major at the Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts, Galileo has been studying piano with Ivana Grubelic Malo since 2014.
