APPLICATIONS TO THE NOVEMBER 2025 NICPC FEATURING AN INCREASED AGE LIMIT OF 33, AN EXPANDED $100,000 PRIZE POOL, AND FINALS WITH ORCHESTRA, WILL OPEN IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2024

A welcome message from NICPC founder and artistic director, internationally acclaimed Polish-American pianist Dr. Graciella Kowalczyk:

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to website of the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition. We have worked hard to make the website informative, interesting, and easy to navigate.

I hope it will encourage many young pianists to participate in the 2025 NICPC in November of 2025 and join participants from around the world in enjoying the warmth, hospitality, love of music, and friendliness for which Nashville is so renowned in celebration of the music of Frédéric Chopin. We have more than doubled our prizemoney pool, expanded the format to include a final Artist round with orchestra, and have added numerous exciting collaborations and partnerships for our second edition. Lastly, we have expanded the age range for the competition to include pianists up to 33 years of age. The NICPC is a proud member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation and plans to join the World Federation of International Music Competitions as part of bringing a new and innovative approach to providing opportunities to each performer. We want every young pianist to give their best and we make every effort to make that possible. We look forward to extending our warmest welcome in Music City.”

"Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art."

"Put all your soul into it, play the way you feel!"
