Shih-Chin Ting (b. 2006, Taipei) is a young Taiwanese pianist currently studying at the Lyon Conservatory of Music and Dance in France under Professor Sébastien Vichard. He began piano studies at the age of five and has been mentored by Lien Mao-Shu and Dr. Chin-Chuan Chang.
Shih-Chin has received numerous national and international awards, including Sixth Prize at the 2025 Gulangyu Youth Piano Competition, the Jury Special Encouragement Award at the 2023 Gulangyu Competition, the Honorary Prize at the 2023 Madrid International Piano Competition, Second Prize at the 6th Steinway Youth International Piano Competition in Taiwan, and Second Prize at the Taiwan National Music Competition. He also won First Prize at the Taipei City Music Competition and Second Prize at the Kawai Friends Piano Competition.
He has participated in international festivals and received guidance from renowned pianists such as Enrico Pompili, Giampaolo Stuani, and Irina Zahharenkova. His public performances include a highly praised rendition of Liszt’s Transcendental Études at the Taipei National Concert Hall in 2022 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in 2023.
Shih-Chin remains devoted to refining his artistry and looks forward to further expanding his musical horizons through future studies, competitions, and performances.
