Shunshun Tie began playing the piano at age three and later entered the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School. He is currently studying at the Central Conservatory under Professor Danwen Wei.
In 2016, Shunshun won First Prize and the Best Polonaise Performance in the Junior Division of the 1st Beijing Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Pianists. In 2017, he was invited by Mickiewicz University to give a concert at Żelazowa Wola, the former residence of Chopin. Between 2017 and 2025, he collaborated multiple times with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Central Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, and held dozens of solo concerts.
Shunshun has also participated in many major international competitions. In 2021, he reached the first round of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. In 2024, he advanced to the second round of the Leeds International Piano Competition. In 2025, he was selected to participate in the preliminary round of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition.
