Alexander Zhou is a rising 2nd grader at Special Music School in New York. He is studying piano under Dr. Natela Mchedlishvili. Alexander is an enthusiastic music student who loves to share his music feelings and personality through learning and performing. He has performed at various music events such as Kaufman Music Center Composer's Festival, KMC Gala Concert, Musical America/San Francisco Music Conservatory Holiday Party, Philadelphia Orchestra Welcome Concert and U.S. State Department International Visitor Leadership Program Concert. Alexander won the First Prize in 2023 Hartford Chopin International Piano Competition in 'Young Talents' category, and 1st Absolute Prize of 2023 Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition in Category A. In 2022 summer, Alexander attended Cremona International Music Academy and Festival in Italy, where he won First Prize, Best classical Piece, and Best Morden Piece in debut category. In this summer in Cremona, he performed Mozart Piano Concerto No. 19 1st Movement with the academy orchestra, which is a precious experience in his music journey.  Alexander is also the Platinum Medalist of 2022 Grand Maestro International Music Competition in pre-junior category, and a semi-finalist of 2022 KMC International Youth Piano Competition. With the same passion, Alexander loves to create his own music. He enjoys reading books, writing poems, and playing badminton in his free time.
