Kenneth Chen is a full scholarship student at The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists, Toronto Canada.
Kenneth began learning piano at the age 5 and has since charmed audiences and judges a like with his thoughtful and musical interpretations. At nine years old, Kenneth began piano lessons with Dr. Michael Berkovsky till now. Kenneth has also been fortunate enough to have participated in master classes with Pro. Hong-Kuan Chen, Pro. Asaf Zohar, Pro. Katarzyna Popova-Zydron, Alexander Korsantia and Pro. Ilya Itin.
Kenneth has won numerous top prizes at the Youth Music Festivals and Competitions including:
1st prize in 2022 Spotlight International Piano Competition
Best of the classes OFMA 2021
1st prize in 2020 Liszt center piano international competition Spain
1st prize in 2020 Piano league international competition
Gold Award in WPTA - Finland international piano competition 2022
2nd prize in 2020 Young Euregio Piano Award international competition in Germany
Kenneth made his orchestral debut with the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra in June 2022, performing Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor in Van Cliburn Hall, Texas.
In addition, Kenneth is a former member of the Canadian Badminton Junior National Team. He won a silver and a bronze medal for Canada at the Junior Pan Am Badminton Championship in Brazil.
