Mohan Jia, an excellent young pianist with outstanding personality and ideas, has won many international awards and unanimous praise from judges for her extraordinary musical talent and unique performance style. Professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń evaluated her:"Your performance was inspired, technically impressive and cosidering your age surprisingly mature. I think that your future as a pianist can be brilliant." Professor Bernd Goetzke mentioned:"You have fabulous technical possibilities. Not many young pianists are able to play Erlkönig or Feux follets like this at the age of 13. I was very happy to see this harmony between you and the piano. Your sound is always cultivated, and you are always playing with great respect for the music, that's wonderful."

 

Mohan Jia, from Beijing, is currently studying at the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School under the tutelage of Central Conservatory of Music Professor Manchun Chen, while studying with Professor Matti Raekallio. She gave her first solo piano recital at the age of seven. At the age of nine, she was admitted to the primary school attached to the CCOM with the first place. During the school performance is outstanding, is the excellent student scholarship multiple-time recipients.

 

In addition, she has received instructions from international famous pianists and professors who rated highly on her performance and potential. Mohan Jia has attended numerous masterclasses with acclaimed pianists, including Jerome Lowenthal, Tamás Ungár, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Boris Berman, Kevin Kenner, Alexander Korsantia, Pavel Nersessian etc.


In recent years, she performed in national and international famous halls, such as National Centre for The Performing Arts, Luoyang Poly Art Center, Steinway & Sons Center Horowitz Hall, Hebei Art Center, Kunming Theatre, Xiamen Music Island Philharmonic Hall, China Central TV, Trudi Zipper Hall in Los Angeles, Smith Hall in San Diego, Mixon Hall in Cleveland and Kulas Hall in Cleveland etc. In 2019, she was invited to perform at Chan Centre for the Performing Arts in Vancouver and Carnegie Hall in New York. She has performed with Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, working with conductor Renchang Fu.
